sandstone fence grass

The Details

We were excited to try something new on this job by using a black oxide in the joints of the sandstone on this front entry fence and letterbox in Caringbah South. We used solid sandstone blocks to construct the fence and broke it up with white timber slats which complement the oxide joints and tie in the colouring of the home perfectly. This was more of a traditional formal look with the sandstone being laid in courses.

Once the renovations on the home were completed we came back to do the landscaping which finished off the home perfectly by adding that final touch. The landscape design was created by Site Design and worked perfectly with the area. There was a mix of traditionally shaped hedges as well as architectural birds of paradise and free flowing succulents. The mix of  bright greens and silvers work to complement the sandstone beautifully. An Agri Dark Turf was also used which made a nice touch of difference rather than the usual Buffalo. The different heights in the garden bed also worked to create interest with the planting behind the sandstone fence.
