The Details
On this project at Caringbah South the family needed easier access to their home as the driveway is quiet short and steep leading in.
On this make over we worked on site as well as in a project management role employing other trades, including carpenters, landscapers, designers and renderers, to provide a seamless construction process and amazing overall design for our client.
A lot of work went in to getting the elevations correct for the stairs to allow flow throughout the area. The stairs were constructed in Millboard which is made with mineral fibres and reinforced with fibre glass to give the look of timber without any of the maintenance involved in the upkeep. This means it will not rot, fade or splinter and works great in areas with a lot of sun or by the pool.
We ‘cut and filled’ using our excavator to save expenses on removing dirt and fill from the site which helped in creating more useable levels throughout the area. Dry stack sandstone walls were erected throughout to retain the soil as well.
There was s lot of enthusiasm and attention to detail throughout the construction process by our client who helped along the way- even doing the lighting himself!
